"Be it unto me according to thy word" (Lucas 1:38)

Updated: Jul 4, 2023

Que lo que,

I'm back, I'm alive, and I've been transfered. After two transfers in Cipresales, I had to say goodbye to my two companions and an area I've come to love. I'll especially miss the investigators whose faith has inspired me, and will continue to inspire me for a long time.

I'm now working in Lomas Del Norte Ward, with Elder Rodriguez, who is the district leader here. First time in this Zone and with a Dominican . Should be a great time! Lomas is really pretty, and has some awesome members. I'm really excited to get into the swing of things here. And to be able to focus on nothing but my area and my personal spiritual growth.

It's surreal that with this new transfer, I only have 4 left. Just under 6 months left. I feel like I have to sprint to the finish, because I really don't have that many transfers left. So we have high hopes for this transfer

It was strange, helping with transfers, knowing that I was going to be transfered. Knowing that I was no longer going to be an AP, and knowing my own future. Mostly because I could see that my assignment changed more than once during the process. During those weeks of uncertainty, I was reading over the New Testament and Come, Follow me, and a verse from Lucas 1 really stuck out to me

For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her

I love Mary's response to the Ángel Gabriel's announcement of her miraculous mission. That is the type of acceptance of the Lord's will I want to have. Not just saying, but truly being able declare "I'll go where you want me to go, oh Lord, I'll say what you want me to say, and I'll be what you want me to be."

I'm overjoyed to be working in this ward at this time. Just to be able to help the Lord with his work. Nothings ever made me happier.

But yeah, despite that, it was really sad to say goodbye, as always, but a little different because it's so close distance wise. They really fattened me up this last week with goodbye meals. I gained a lot of weight in the mission office...

I hope everything's good back home, I miss you guys, and I hope to hear from you soon. Til next time
