Coming unto Christ, even in China. We had to go some far distance to do this.
Riding the high speed train from the city of ChongQing to Chengdu china, our family celebrated the eighth birthday of our little girl Audrey and took a train to meet fellow members of our church far away in a city called Chengdu so she could be baptized.
There is a branch of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that meets regularly at a member's home.
We took a video of this ride from ChongQing China to ChengDu China, about 300 km, by bullet train (see below).
Riding High Speed Rail for Audrey's Baptism
Baptism is something that represents a commitment to follow Jesus Christ, keep His commandments, and take upon one's self His name.
In the photo to the left, all we needed was a body of water, and I could baptism Audrey,
Baptism is an ordinance done by priesthood authority in the name of Christ. Even Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist and set the example for us, as shown in this video story of that event, and how baptism is by immersion in a body of water, in this case, a river.:
Jesus wasn't the first to be baptized, John the Baptist was baptizing many before Jesus came to him and also asked to be baptized. Even Adam, the first man on this earth, was baptized and so we know that this ordinance is to be completed for every single person if they are to inherit the Kingdom of God.
"John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Marvel not indeed. Just be obedient to the commandment, the teachings of Jesus Christ, and that's exactly what Audrey did, just like all of her siblings before her and her parents before her and on back several generations.
2 Nephi 31:5 And now, if the Lamb of God, he being holy, should have need to be baptized by water, to fulfil all righteousness, O then, how much more need have we, being unholy, to be baptized, yea, even by water!
