There is a Green Hill Far Away sung by Priesthood Choir, awesome arrangement
FIrst of all, nothing is impossible with God. Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. He can do all things, and when He suffers it, we can too by our faith.
Do you have faith to believe that Jesus was the Christ and suffered for your sins in the Garden of Gethsemane? Then you by that faithful act can believe anything. Most people have this kind of faith, it comes to all children at the beginning of their lives, they have this light of Christ... Believers in Christ also have this faith that He did something there in the Garden even though we don't comprehend or fully understand it, He bled from every pore so great was His anguish for our sins as He paid for them... we know something huge and eternal happened there. We may not know, we cannot tell, what pains he had to bear, but we believe it was for us he prayed and suffered there. We believe that through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved, and by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel He taught.
THERE IS A GREEN HILL FAR AWAY, one of my favorite hymns by far... 1 There is a green hill far away, outside a city wall, where the dear Lord was crucified who died to save us all. 2 We may not know, we cannot tell, what pains he had to bear, but we believe it was for us he hung and suffered there. 4 There was no other good enough to pay the price of sin, he only could unlock the gate of heaven, and let us in. 5 Oh, dearly, dearly has he loved, and we must love him too, and trust in his redeeming blood, and try his works to do.
But do you have the faith in other kinds of miracles?
How about the more simple things like answering your prayers? Do you believe He can heal you, help you, comfort you, inspire you, protect you, and prosper you or bless you in a myriad of different ways?
Faith is an interesting thing. It is the letting go of our logic and intellect when to the world it makes no sense at all and believing in something that is TRUE but not seen.
Alma 32:21 ...FAITH is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye HOPE for things which are not seen, which are TRUE.
It is branching out into the unpolluted TRUST in God and His promises, it is letting go of all cynicism. Forget what the world thinks. It is the PRIVATE moments in your closets and secret places where you pour out your whole soul before God and where you have privacy and can not be heard by anyone, except God who is always listening... and who will bless you with His Spirit and inspiration at moments like these and speak things to your heart and to your mind...
Doctrine and Covenants 8:2 Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart.
Husband, Father, Professional Engineer, and an amateur movie maker... and most importantly, a believer in Jesus Christ
